Introduced many new policies during first 100 days of office
- Introduces the New Deal - Longest serving American president 1933-1945 - 13 million unemployed when elected - Infantile paralysis - Dies of a brain hemorrhage in 1945 before WWII finishes "I pledge you, I pledge myself, to a new deal for the American people."

Franklin D Roosevelt came into office in 1933, he immediately began to assuage the depression. Introduced New Deal, which was a way to give the 13 million unemployed Americans jobs. He had polio, and died of a brain hemorrhage in 1945.
